Who We Are
DWX is a platform to automate SEO strategies at scale that intends to revolutionize the way SEO managers work. The first product that we are building on top of that platform is DWX InLinks, a tool for boosting the internal linking of large websites.
We are a young but enthusiastic startup that, overall, values and offers a great company culture, great technical challenges and the dynamism of building something new and innovative.
Although the foundations of our platform are already in place, there are still many challenges to figure out, multiple frameworks to try and tons of technical decisions to make that we want you to be part of.
What We Do
In a nutshell, our whole platform is hosted in Google Cloud, and we use a mix of microservices architecture within Kubernetes and Data Workflows with Google Cloud Workflows.
We work with Python and Java. Python is the core language of the platform, whereas we mainly use Java for our visual application backend.
One of the key components of the platform is the crawler. We are building a web scraper that is highly scalable on top of the well-known Python library Scrapy. You will find technologies there like Kafka, Redis and MongoDB.
The data workflow is mainly implemented in Python as well, and it involves technologies like Elasticsearch and Neo4j. In the incoming versions we will be making use of things like Vector databases for similarity search (Milvus, Faiss, Redis… yes, now Redis can do that!), parallel computing frameworks like Dask and Spark, and Natural Language Processing models from Hugging Face. Besides this, our processes will have to involve Machine Learning quite soon.
These are not simply buzzwords to gain your attention (we are trying to do so though!) and we will be happy to explain why and how we plan to use these technologies.
What We Are Looking For
At this point, we are seeking to hire a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer. Currently, we prefer someone with a strong Python background and with solid experience in some of the technologies that we use. Suitable candidates should have between 5 and 8 years of experience. That’s our preferred profile, but if you consider yourself a versatile Software Engineer that could fit the position, please don’t hesitate to apply and tell us about your background and motivations.
What Your Job Looks Like
- You take part in all technical decisions and help us to build a scalable platform to automate SEO tasks.
- You contribute to engineering efforts from planning and organization, to execution and delivery to solve complex engineering problems.
- You design, develop, test and implement software services within our DWX platform.
- You integrate new ML models into existing software solutions.
- You partner with User Experience, Product Management and Data & Analytics teams to deliver the DWX products.
- You assess the technical feasibility of ideas, new functionalities and identified needs.
- You guide a team of engineers to build a top coding culture and a high-performing team.
- You work under agile methodologies and the use of CI / CD pipelines.
Your Skills
- Team player. We don’t like egos or rock stars.
- You value the importance of code quality, testing and making your code reviewer’s life easy :-).
- Around 5 years of software development at minimum.
- Experience in Python, Java and Spring / SpringBoot ecosystem, MicroServices, Google Cloud.
- Desirable experience on web scraping.
- Desirable knowledge of NLP, machine learning and data science tools (Vector Similarity, Hugging Face, Spacy…).
- Advanced English skills; Spanish essential.

The Process
Our hiring process is simple. We try not to extend it too much with any candidate:
1. We analyse all the applications received and select those that better meet the position's requirements.
2. We will propose the first interview to get to know each other, so we can mutually confirm the fit in the team and the project.
3. If there is a match, it is time for the technical interview.
4. Finally, if you are the selected candidate, you will receive a job offer to join DWX.
If you’re not selected, we will let you know with the aim of better understanding our decision.
